This privacy notice explains how Bitguruz (the informational portal at bitguruz-de.de) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit this site. We are NOT the casino operator – we run an independent review and information portal about the brand. The operator maintains its own privacy policy on its platform; this notice covers only what happens on our site.

Who controls your data

Guruz Group Ltd. is responsible for the personal information you share with this portal. You can reach our editorial team at [email protected] with questions about how we handle your data.

What information we collect

We gather two kinds of data: what you actively provide and what we observe while you browse.

Information you give us directly:

  • Your email address and message content when you use the contact form
  • Any preferences you set through the cookie banner

Technical data collected automatically:

  • Your IP address and approximate location (country level)
  • Browser type, operating system and device identifiers
  • Pages viewed, time spent on the site, and referring URL
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies – see our Cookie Policy for the full list

We do NOT collect payment information, identity documents or account credentials – those are handled by the operator if you register on its platform, not by this portal.

Why we process your data

We use your information to:

  • Respond to enquiries sent through the contact form
  • Improve the site's layout and content based on how visitors navigate it
  • Measure which sections and articles attract the most attention
  • Serve relevant advertising through third-party networks (where you consent)

The lawful basis for most processing is legitimate interest – running an informational site requires understanding how it is used. For marketing cookies and behavioural advertising, the basis is consent, which you grant or withhold through the banner on your first visit.

Who else sees your data

We share technical and usage data with these categories of third party:

  • Analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) – to track visitor patterns and site performance
  • Advertising networks – to display targeted ads when you consent to marketing cookies
  • Hosting and CDN services – the infrastructure that keeps the site online

Some of these processors operate outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other safeguards recognised under UK GDPR. We never sell your data to third parties.

Your rights under UK data protection law

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you control over your personal information. You have the right to:

  • Access – request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification – correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Erasure – ask us to delete your data where there is no legal reason to keep it
  • Restriction – limit how we process your information while a dispute is resolved
  • Portability – receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object – stop processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing
  • Withdraw consent – revoke permission for cookie-based tracking at any time (this does not affect processing that already happened under that consent)

How to exercise these rights

Email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within one month, and we will not charge a fee unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection supervisory authority. Visit ico.org.uk for guidance on how to raise a concern.

How long we keep your data

Contact-form submissions are retained for two years from the date you send them, then deleted. Technical logs (IP addresses, page views) are aggregated and anonymised after 90 days. Cookie data expires according to the durations set out in the Cookie Policy – most analytics cookies last 24 months, advertising cookies up to 13 months.

Protection of minors

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through the contact form, please notify us at [email protected] and we will delete it immediately. Parents and guardians can use software like Net Nanny or Qustodio to restrict access to gambling-related content on shared devices.

Changes to this notice

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our data practices or legal obligations. The date below marks the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
